When a window is genuinely beyond economic repair, or a previous owner has already replaced originals with something unsuitable, I design and build new timber sash windows to match the house exactly.
Sections, mouldings, glazing bars and proportions are copied from the originals, so the new windows belong. They can be traditionally single glazed or discreetly double glazed, and everything is finished in Zinsser systems for long life.
The same care goes into period doors: repairs, draught proofing and full bespoke replacements, keeping original stained glass and furniture wherever possible.

New windows are made off site and installed quickly, with openings protected and rooms left clean. Where only one sash needs remaking, I do exactly that rather than selling you a whole new window.
